This morning, we are visiting Potala Palace for a detail learning about this magnificent building’ s architect and stories and followed by visiting mystery Jokhang temple. Have a look around Barkhore Street to enjoy different artifacts, spiritual equipment and the global visitors to this Holy City, Lhasa.

Right after your breakfast, our guide will escort you to visit Drepung and Sera Monasteries which are the biggest and oldest Gelugpa sect’s monasteries from many other monasteries. Ramoche Temple is another essence to this day.

Today, we are moving towards the Southern Tibet. In the very first, we are visiting the first Buddhist Tibetan Monastery in Tibet, Samye Monastery. Samye Monastery is built in 7th Century and it is believed that this monastery is built with the help of Urgen Guru Rinpoche (Padmasatva). You will be wondered by it’s architecture which is in a Mandala shape. Learn more about the monastery from our knowledgeable guide.

After a short hike, our guide will help you to interact with hermits of Chimpu Hermitage and Tibetan Yogis. Take a quick retreat in this land of silent and wisdom. Followed by strolling downwards through solitary caves and tiny trails. Tsethang is the largest city in Southern Tibet and it is first kingdom of Tibet. You can also enjoy a spectacular view of the Brahmaputra valley.

Just after your breakfast, we are continuing our trip to Yamdrok Lake, a scared lake which is in a beautiful turquoise colour. Tibetan Buddhists believe in that this holy lake is home for many deities and fairies. Followed by driving towards Gyangtse where you could learn about the spectacular Gyantse Pekor Chode’s architect and old paintings in the inner walls.

Driving far beyond Gyantse after a good breakfast as cultural heritage, successive Panchen Lama’s, Tashi Lhunpo monastery at Shigatse. Shigatse is the second largest city in Central Tibet and it’s tradition and culture quite different from what you observed in Lhasa. If time permits, we are visiting Dechen Podrang (Dechen Palace) the Summer palace for Panchen Lamas and it is also a picnic spot for the lay people.

We are driving through beautiful villages and farmlands of Oyuk Valley and elevate to Shogula pass (5400) towards Yangpachen and Northern Nomadic Grasslands. These Northern Nomad Grasslands are known in Tibetan as Jangthang Drogpa (Northern Nomad). In these area, there are almost hundreds of beautiful lakes and Namtso (Sky Lake) is one among them. It is known as the world highest salty lake and it considered to be as a sacred. Enjoy the night’s cool breeze and peace.

With a complete circuit of Namtso lake by cab, we will be heading towards Lhasa. On the way back to Lhasa, we are visiting a nomad family to experience the yak wool tent and little more about the Plateau’s nomadic lifestyle.
