With a warm good morning, you will be taking to visit 13 story the world heritage, Potala Palace was built in the 17th century, contains over 1,000 rooms, 10,000 shrines, and about 200,000 statues, it is the largest lamasery in the world. The magnificent palace measures 1300 feet east west and 1150 feet north-south, with sloping stone walls averaging 10 feet thick, and 16 feet thick at the base, and with copper poured into the foundations to help proof it against earthquakes, it took 7,000 workers and 1,500 artists and craftsmen more than 50 years to build the adjoining White and Red Palaces. After strolling down from the giant brainteaser palace, you will be visiting the historical figure, Jokhang Temple. The famous Jokhang temple is founded by King Songtsen Gampo for his Queen from China and Nepal. You can experience the Tibetan culture, ritual activities like circumbulation and prostration in front Jokhang Temple or around the Barkhor Street. You will also witness colorful ethnic handicrafts and different group of pilgrimages around Barkhor Bazaar.

You’ll visit the famous Norbulingka and Sara Monastery today. Norbulingka is the summer palace of Dalai Lama, founded by the 7th Dalai Lama. Tibetan Museum houses a rich collection of prehistoric cultural relics including Buddha statues in different postures, imperial jade seals, gold albums, gifts granted by emperors, colorful Tangkas, and various printed Sanskrit and Tibetan scriptures. Sera Monastery, situated about 5km north of Lhasa, is a complex of 4 structures where travelers can appreciate the “famous daily debates”.
