Our guide will receive you and deliver you to your accommodation in Lhasa City. Remember that you are in the world plateau, so it is important to take it easy as much as you excited to explore around. Take very good rest, sleep and drink plenty of water to avoid altitude sickness, dehydration and jet-lag.

Get ready after your breakfast at hotel to sneak in the real mystery of Lhasa, “Place of God’. You will be escorting towards majestic Potala Palace, mystic Jokhang Temple, hustling bustling Barkhor Street and Ramoche Monastery by our fluent English speaking and knowledgeable tour guide.

Today you will be arranged to visit Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Both Drepung and Sera monasteries are Gelugpa (yellow hat) sect monastic colleges. Drepung monastery was the seat of the Government prior to Potala, it was once the world’s largest monastery in the history with 10,000 monks hailed from different monasteries all over Tibet. Sera monastery is famous for its Buddhism philosophical debate practice.

Norbulingka is the known as Summer Palace of the successive Dalai Lamas which is located in the bay of Lhasa Kyichu River (Lhasa Happy River). Norbulingka houses a large collections of Tibetan carpets, Italian chandeliers, Ajanta frescoes and many other precious artifacts. It was inscribed on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site and was added as an extension of the Historical Ensemble in 2011. Drak Yerpa is built on a hillside with more than 80 meditation caves and is described as the “life tree” or spiritual axis of Lhasa. The site had a powerful spiritual heritage; having been visited by Songsten Gampo, Padmasambhava, Yeshe Tsoygel, Padampa Sanggye, and Atisha. It was home for few hundred hermits, monks, and nuns.

Namsto Lake is the largest lake and also one of three sacred lakes in Tibet. The direct translation of Namtso in English is “Sky Lake”. The melted snow from Nyanchen Tanglha Mountains is the primary resource to the lake. Apart from Namtso’s wonderful Geographical views, people attract it’s natural habitats of rare water birds like swans, egrets, sand birds, scaleless fish and huge grassland to herd yaks and sheep. Some wild animals like fox and black bears habit around the area of lake. Lunch will be enjoyed at this paradise like Lake.
