Upon your arrival in Lhasa, our guide will greet you at the airport/ train station and escort you to the hotel. Feel the height of the world roof and adapt to the high altitude by taking rest at your room with drinking lots of water.

Today’s visit starts from the magnificent Potala Palace which is a complex palace of castle style, consisting of two parts – the Red Palace as the center and the White Palace as the wings. Since the 17th century, it has become the religious and political center of this land and now a must visit the landmark. After lunch, continue to visit the Jokhang Temple at the center of old city. Decorated with Tibetan murals and carvings, this temple has adopted the architectural styles of ancient Tang Dynasty, Nepal and India. You will then walk along the bustling Barkhor Street.

After the breakfast, we will go to visit the Norbulingka Park, a large and beautiful artificial garden. After having a palatable lunch, continue to visit the Sera Monastery, which is famous for the large collection of Buddhist statues, sutra, and murals. Besides, the special activity of debating on Buddhist doctrines held in the monastery is quite interesting.

Then drive to Gyangtse. On the way, stop at Yamdrok Lake, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet, where you can also enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Karola Snow Mountain. Upon arrival, visit Palkhor Stupa, an exquisite structure built back in the early 15th century and the Gyangtse Old Street. Drive to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet Autonomous Region.

Today you will have the adventure tour to the Everest Base Camp, one of the two campsites on the sensational Mount Everest, set up for the climbers at 5,150meters above sea level, and Rongbuk Monastery, founded by Nyingmapa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and the highest located monastery in the world.

Drive to Shigatse. Enjoy the rural scenery of Tibet farm while driving. Check in at your hotel upon arrival, rest of the day is left for you to relax.

In the morning, we will go to visit the Panchen Lama’s Tashilunpo Monastery. It is the largest temple in the Shigatse area, dating back to the year of 1447 during the Ming Dynasty. Then, we drive back to Lhasa.
